Smells

Description

Strong, unpleasant, deterring smells sometimes are used to protect livestock from wolves. Measure is well known, but practical effectiveness is questionable.

Effectiveness

The effectiveness is unknown or temporary. Smells fizzle out, wolves get used to it, and also they react differently depending on the individual. Might be used as additional measure in combination with other ones.

Price

Not expensive. The most disgusting smells are the cheapest :-)

Maintenance

Maintenance is not difficult, you only need to renew the smells. But this should be done regularly, because a human cannot evaluate whether the smell is still strong enough to deter wolves.
